I hate Cassel, and have from the beginning. So I guess that puts Pioli out, but he is going nowhere, so we are just ****ed.

Plenty of fault with Pioli, but he's not the problem.

I'm probably higher on Haley then Pioli at the moment. It's just tough unless you know how much input or control Haley has of what is going on. The switch the 3-4 was a bad idea, trying to make Cassell into a starting QB was a bad idea, not addressing the NT position after switching to a 3-4 was a bad idea and the 2009 draft needs to die in an AIDS infested fire which stars Tyson Jackson.

I did not care for the Haley hire, but I think last year earned him his 4 years. I do feel the O coordinator situation needs fixed, and I may change my mind on him surviving the 4 years if things continue at this pace.
I loved the Pioli hire, but haven't seen a lot to sell me on the job he's doing. I'm a little skeptical on all the crap that comes out about him in the press and on BBs, but the more smoke I see, the more I think there's fire.

Like it or not, Cassel was probably the best option for the Chiefs in 2009. It didn't work out, and seems like Pioli knows that. While he could have drafted Sanchez or Freeman, I don't know if either of them are a franchise QB yet.
I think a lot of this stems from Clark waiting to fire Carl, Herm, and the staff, putting Pioli in a difficult spot. |

Well, I was higher on Haley than Pioli, but that was when I thought Haley had grown as a HC and quit making dumb decisions.
Sadly, he hasn't grown and still makes boneheaded decisions on a regular basis. His time management is as piss-poor as Herm Edwards', he apparently has no concept of how the challenge system works and he's regularly making stupid decisions like yesterday's impossible to defend deferring of the opening kickoff. That was as stupid a decision as running a fake punt on 4th and 8 from your own 28 and the intended receiver is the ****ing long snapper. Ultimately, there's no one in the organization that is safe from blame right now. From ownership all the way down. |

Pioli can get out with Haley after sitting on 60 million the last two years.
