1. It means Cassel is gone....
2. We have a QB who actually has experience in college and more than part of 1 season in the pro's for the first time since?????
3. We still hold our #1 pick and could still pick up a QB in the draft
4. Smith is a viable backup should #3 come about

Luke Joekel is one of the best tackle prospects to come out in years. Anybody who says otherwise doesn't know how to analyze college lineman. Reminds me a lot of Robert Gallery coming out of Iowa.

It is what it is. We have a new regime, a new HC, a new QB, and an exceptional defense. Expensive trade. Too expensive, but I'm enjoying the change. I'm not doubt partial, was in favor of Wilson (hasn't helped himself in the combine but I believe a gamer with a chip on his shoulder), or a Mallet trade... But it is what it is.

Our two DE's are poor at best, our NT has not proven enough yet to know, we need an ILB, a CB2, a safety, and another depth corner. How are we an exceptional defense?

That's why I said as a prospect. For pro potential, I'd look more at a guy like Will Svitek. An absolute mauler who will protect your QB for the next decade.
