By trading Carson Palmer, the Raiders save $5.995 million of cap room. Had they done a June 1 cut, they would have saved $13 million. |

I'm hearing Carson Palmer, whose contract called for $13M in Oakland, will end up making $8M with the Cardinals |

Cardinals trade for Carson Palmer now official. Raiders get back a conditional 7th-rd pick in 2014 if Palmer starts 13 games. |

Almost as much of a lock as the Chiefs taking Joeckel.

Bingo. There was probably no competition for getting Palmer. Alex obviously had interest from numerous teams.

And yes, Carson Palmer will still count $9.34 million on the Raiders' Cap; the gift that keeps on giving. Feel for Reggie... |

If they get OT in the first and then get themselves a RB and TE with Fitzgerald and Floyd there....It's probably the best scenario Palmer could have to end his career.
