HOUSTON -- Texans quarterback Matt Schaub left Sunday's 38-13 loss to the St. Louis Rams with an injury to his right leg after being sacked by defensive end Chris Long late in the third quarter.

As Schaub limped off the field, a smattering of Texans fans began cheering. As Texans backup quarterback T.J. Yates entered the game, the cheers grew louder.

Several Texans players were clearly upset with the fans' reaction. Linebacker Brian Cushing said that the behavior was "barbaric."

"For all the guy's done for the city and team ... that's straight up disrespectful," Yates said.

Schaub was unavailable to the media after the game. Texans coach Gary Kubiak said Schaub suffered an injury to his lower right leg, including his foot and ankle.
