2005 Sunflower Showdown, Part 1!

The Kansas State Womens Basketball team travels to Kansas tommorow for the first installment of the Sunflower Showdown of 2005. Kansas State just got thrashed by Iowa State @Ames, and Kansas held their own @Austin, so this could be a good matchup. Tip off at 7:00 pm, Allen Fieldhouse. Tickets are $15 (KU jacked up the price for this game), and children under 13 get in free.

I've been watching Womens basketball more often now. Its pretty entertaining, as it seems like more of a "pure" version of the game. Emphasis is placed on shooting, not driving to the basket and dunking / lay up.

My bold prediction? Kansas State 75 Kansas 69

I feel it will be closer than most think. Cats need a big game from Kendra Wecker AND Laurie Koehn to win this one.
