TEICHER-- SECOND-HALF BREAKDOWN
SECOND-HALF BREAKDOWN
The Chiefs hit the midpoint of the season after today’s game against the Rams, so here’s a look at Kansas City’s second-half schedule: Nov. 12 at Miami If the Chiefs are serious about making the playoffs, they must beat the one-win Dolphins. Almost everybody else has. Nov. 19 vs. Oakland Sure, the Raiders are miserable, but beating them is never easy for the Chiefs. The Chiefs have won six straight over Oakland, none by more than seven points. Nov. 23 vs. Denver Thanksgiving-night fun at Arrowhead. Whether the Chiefs are still in the race or not, the Broncos almost always put on a good show in KC. Dec. 3 at Cleveland The cold wind blows in off Lake Erie, making it Herm Edwards’ kind of game. Both teams might try to run it 50 times. Dec. 10 vs. Baltimore A classic matchup between premier back Larry Johnson and a ferocious Ravens defense. Edwards won’t try to run it 50 times this week. Dec. 17 at San Diego This could be the last time the Chiefs play against a Marty Schottenheimer team. Think they want to give him a proper sendoff? Dec. 23 at Oakland The Coliseum is intimidating enough in the daylight. At night, when this game will be played, it’s enough to make grown men cry. Dec. 31 vs. Jacksonville It has been too many years since the Chiefs played a meaningful finale. Here’s hoping this one matters to both teams. |
