Planet Doctors, I have a question.....
My wife and I are about to have our 4th baby - all by c-section. After our first baby, our then current doctor told us that my wife should not have more than 3 c-sections. After our 2nd was born, our new doctor told us that he "had a woman that had 7 c-sections" so we thought we were alright.
Now, my wife has been doing some research online and found that there can be some severe problems both for her and for the baby if we have more than 3-4 c-sections. While we are still pretty young, we have no immediate plans to have anymore kids, but we didn't necessarily want to rule it out. But, if there is cause for concern for either her life or for the babies life, we are considering having her tubes tied once we have the 4th baby. Can anyone out there give me - us - some direction. Is there reason to be concerned for either her or the baby? Should we seriously consider having her tubes tied? Any information is helpful. Thanks in advance. |
