Is this team more suited for a zone blocking scheme???
It seems like we have more and more success running the ball when we run from a zone blocking scheme. The Broncos have had success for years running that scheme, and amazes me why no one really tries to copy that. Just seeing the way Kolby Smith has ran the ball today so far and when he's had success is when we run off the tackles. He really reminds me of Priest Holmes and the way he runs the ball. Especially with Weigman at center and seeing him getting blown off the ball everytime we play run it up the ass football, would a zone blocking scheme fit better for the offense? Should we trade Larry Johnson and get more draft picks and allow Smith to develope? I think he has a very good chance of being a really good back in this league.
