Tech help or another tard: Office trial locked

I have a new laptop with a 60 day trial of office 2007.

When the trial expires, all your documents are locked, read only.

Well...my Word docs (.docx) are locked and it has been only 48 hrs. It appears my program thinks the trial is expired. Yea!

I ****ing hate microsoft so much.

Anyone familiar with this, or have a suggestion other than going postal?

googled, but nothing...mostly idiots whose trials have ACTUALLY expired being told to buy the damn program.

sigh...

I have open office which I am getting ready to install, but I bet it won't be able to open the documents since Micropig has them under lock and ****ing key.
