The difference between TG and most other players is that he has earned the right to complain, and even to ask for a trade if he sees fit. The important thing is that when he doesn't get traded, what does he do? He laces up the next week and PLAYS HIS ASS OFF every play. That's the kind of guy I want on my team. A 2nd round pick might be good value to the drafturbators, but I'd rather keep him.

What will a 2nd round pick do? We have a new QB and a new scheme coming in. TG could be invaluable in getting this thing up and running the right way. We have a lot of picks, and we have lots of youth already. Herm's biggest mistake (after choosing football coach as a career) was to jettison virtually all vets and leave the team rudderless. Also, Tony is only going to be with us for one to two more years. A 2nd Round pick has better potential than an aging TE.
