Passing to your FB on Madden?

Okay, well today was a funny day. A local store, a little bit similar to Gamestop called Vintage Stock, was hosting a 16 person Madden tournament. Many people from school attended, and one person I knew claimed he was super good (using the Texans.)

He lost in the first round to a guy who used the Chiefs. Eventually the player who used the Chiefs won the whole thing. The settings were zero rewinds and All-Madden. (So it was fair for everyone.)

Now the guy who used the Texans was complaining like a baby saying the player who used the Chiefs shouldn't have won. Reason for that is because he passed to his fullback the majority of the time. (I think in the final game he passed at least 10 times to the FB and got over 100 yards.) The player who used the Texans made a complaint that you cannot defend a FB on Madden because it is "impossible." Another complaint was that NFL teams in real life (despite this is a video game) don't plan on defending FB's.

So my question is, is it fair to throw to your FB (despite what Cris Collinsworth says on Madden about that haha.) I guess I'd consider it fair, but if you have a problem with it, just defend him.

I know this may seem like a silly thread to make, but I thought I'd ask some of you guys since we have a lot of gamers on here.
