Mock (3/3/13)

I'm going to try ignoring LT like some of you guys would prefer to.

1. The Chiefs resign Bowe, and let Dorsey and Albert walk.

2. Cassel is cut. Tyson Jackson stays on board, at reduced salary.

3. The Chiefs land CB Sean Smith.

4. They get one compensatory pick, an extra third (Carr).

1. DE Sharrif Floyd, Florida

The Sharrif anchors the DL along with Poe and Jackson, ensuring that our DE position is stout as our NT continues to develop (and I still love Powe's potential, as well).

3. OT Kyle Long, Oregon

Long is a fantastic athlete playing the OT position. I beleive that after the initial round of elite OTs, the rest will drop a bit due to the flood of free agent tackles this offseason.

3. ILB Jonathan Bostic, Florida

This guy has been pimped by several posters on this board, and it's easy to see why. This team has a hole next to DJ and really needs a quality guy who's capable of slamming the line of scrimmage. If he has the ability to stay on the field for three downs, all the better.

4. QB Matt Scott, Arizona

Andy Reid has selected a QB from the Arizona program before. Scott's a QB with a lot of Foles-like characteristics, and played very well last year considering it was his first year as The Guy.

5. DE Malliciah Goodman, Clemson

This is a pick based on promise more than anything. Goodman has had a solid career at Clemson, but his measurables are re-****ing-diculus.

6. RB Dennis Johnson, Arkansas

I looove Johnson as a late rounder. He wasn't invited to the Combine and pales in hype to his teammate, Knile Davis. But always trust the Arkansas running program. Johnson's YPC is sick, and he carried the offense admirably for a struggling Tyler Wilson.

7. WR Tarvarres King, Georgia

The Chiefs are in need of a one-dimensional speed threat. That's about all King can provide with his 4.4 speed. He's not a small receiver, either (6'0"), so there's that.
