The*Kansas City Chiefs*have been patient withTony Moeaki, but with a brand-new regime in-house, that patience has run out.The talented but injury-plagued tight end tweeted Saturday that he's no longer with the team:

The*Chiefs*used a third-round pick on Moeaki in the 2010*NFL Draft, and he rewarded the team with a productive 47-catch rookie campaign. The wheels fell off from there.After undergoing a knee scope after the 2010 season, Moeaki sustained a*torn ACL during the 2011 preseason, shelving him for the year. He returned last season to catch 33 passes for 453 yards and one touchdown, but Moeaki has been a roster-bubble candidate all summer.Out indefinitely with a*fractured shouldersuffered earlier in the month, Moeaki never was part of the plan for*Andy Reid*and the new-lookChiefs. Kansas City will go into the season withAnthony Fasano*atop the depth chart and rookie*Travis Kelce*behind him. We'll find out soon enough if reserves*Kevin Brock*andDemetrius Harris*make the cut.Moeaki, just 26, has a chance to continue his career if he can get healthy.
