There's one thing about the Pulp Fiction scene that bothers me. The end of the scene seems like a Newfie firing squad.
Jules and Vincent are standing across from one another and firing at the same person yet neither is injured in the exchange. BTW- the term "Newfie firing squad" comes from the back of the old Canadian $50 bill and is meant as an insult to those that are from the Canadian province of Newfounland: |

Man, it's a travesty that two of these scenes have to be cut in round 1. All three scenes should be fighting for the title.

Pulp Fiction moves on, dodging a bullet.
For you Saving Private Ryan fans, there's a very good chance that it'll grab a wild card spot given that it got over 40% of the vote. For you Something About Mary fans....I'm sorry. I'm so, so sorry.

Pop culture pulp beats an EXTREMELY well done, gut wrenching take on real world history... not a fan, this sucks ass.
SPR is what many of your grandpas and uncles went through to save the free world... but one of the most dreary scenes in a Tarantino movie wins? just cancel this whole show. I've never been more disappointed in one of these polls, what a disgrace. |

Very true, but a bunch of clerks and stoners going, literally, for the Pulp Fiction, and far from its best scene as #1 at that, over such a realistic, true life portrayal of a singular incident that affected the world to its very core?
Call me old, old fashioned, dumb, whatever... this outcome is sad. Shitty outcome, let the barbs fly from the younger guys. |

I mentioned this in my voting post, but I recognize that the scene is powerful. However, it stresses me out, and my definition of "favorite scene" includes the criterion of not stressing me out.

Very unfortunate to put say what against Omaha Beach. Say what is a genuine scence. Omaha beach is a freaking full act, yet it is one of the all time most compelling movie scenes with a chance to win the entire thing. So how do you got against it.
Frankly, I think the beach scene is breaking the rules as it is a whole bunch of scenes strung together, but whatever. If you are going to call it a scene, then I have to vote for it. |
