Bill James has repeatedly said the biggest mistakes in MLB are (1) not platooning enough and (2) not bringing your best relievers in at the most critical times. As far as I'm concerned, I'd have considered Greg freaking Holland at that point with the bases loaded 1 out. Why not? He's your best, win or lose with him. Or Davis. Or Herrera. Whoever.


We've platooned a lot this year (hasn't worked) which is good, but the high lev situations should NEVER involve feces like Crow or Downs or Bueno.
