Andy threw it deep in Philly. McCarthy throws it deep in Green Bay. Payton manages to throw it deep in New Orleans.

If you watch KC now, there are WR's who break open deep. There are deep plays to be had.

It's not the scheme.

The scheme is just an excuse for Alex being a wuss. There's throwing short a lot and there's completing 6 passes over 20 yards (in the air) in 14 games.

It's inefficient because the team has to burn at least one timeout PER GAME because the offense can't get set quick enough and because it focuses so much on the horizontal game that it can't move downfield quick enough in two-minute drill.

It took the Chiefs 2:27 off the game clock to go 50 yards when they absolutely needed two possessions to tie or win the game.
