Pats Cheating Comfirmed

According to the report, the league sources say the NFL determined 11 of the 12 footballs used by the Patriots were under-inflated by two pounds per square inch each. Per NFL rules, footballs are required to be inflated between 12.5 and 13.5 PSI and weigh between 14 and 15 ounces.

Post-season ban? That's funny.

Not happening. $$$

NFLPA would be up Goodell's ass.

Some new information, at least to me:

Controversy still swirls over the footballs the New England Patriots used in the first half of their game against the Indianapolis Colts. According to a report Wednesday afternoon, though, the ones they used over the final 30 minutes met NFL standards. The Patriots swapped out their 12 original game balls for 12 backup balls at halftime of their 45-7 win in Sunday’s AFC Championship Game, an organizational source told WEEI.com on Wednesday, and each of those replacements reportedly was tested and approved by officials before being put into play. That testing finished up just moments before New England was set to begin its first series of the third quarter, per WEEI’s source. The Patriots dominated the Colts in the second half, outscoring them 28-0 to turn a tight contest into a blowout and earn a spot in Super Bowl XLIX.

That's just ridiculous what Brainiac recommended, including they did "repetitive cheating". Even if it's two, repetitive sounds like a helluva lot more.

You better hope so. If they lose, it's going to be a monumental choke job.

That story has been out for several hours. It underscores the stupidity behind the decision to deflate the footballs. The Patriots don't need to cheat to win. But they apparently can't help it. It's like the fable of the scorpion and the frog. It's their nature.

All this talk about how getting caught cheating again is going to be "motivational fuel" for the Cheatriots... if I'm the Seahawks, I'm using it as motivation too. After all, Seattle earned their spot in the Super Bowl fair and square. They didn't cheat their way in like the Patsies did. I'd want to stomp a mudhole in the cheaters' asses for making a mockery of the game.

Sherman gets an interception and celebrates by mockingly squeezing the ball. That's my call.

After this season I bet the NFL will make a rule for the players not to be tossing the football to the fans anymore. You see players do it from time to time after they score a TD. Reid will assure the rules committee that our WR's won't do that.
