This is the exact kind of bitch-ass trolling that the others were mentioning. We get it--you crave attention. Just go to one of those porn sites with a chat bot in the lower corner and start hacking away on your cell phone in between your telemarketing spiels for timeshares.

Catchers cannot react to foul tips to "catch" them. It doesn't/cannot happen.
I agree the catcher has no control on which direction the ball goes after deflecting off the bat.

I would agree with BRC the ability to catch or not catch fouls tips is in direct relation to their general catching skills.

Cards traded for Cishek. That could be huge.

Rumors are the Orioles are seriously considering becoming sellers and guys like Chris Davis and Matt Wieters would be sellable assets. Would think the Cards would be interested in Davis.

Cishek ass raped my fantasy team for the first month before I cut bait, so I'm a little bitter about that. He lost a good amount of velocity over the last two years, but he throws from a low arm angle.

Barraclough is a nothing prospect. Good get.

I'd imagine this spells AAA for Socolovich rather than Tui.

I'm sure they still have some stashed away from Tony LaRussa's stockpile.

So we're bad fans because we're negative but this thread is like the Coalition, where you get banned if you're negative?

Makes sense.

Of all the NL franchises a DH would be most helpful to you guys. More than likely (other than money of course) was probably a big reason why Pujols left. Chance to extend his career longer. You have Holliday, who is okay in the outfield but would be much better at this stage of his career just DHing. Berkman, Walker and several others over the years perfect roles.

I just don't see why pitchers hit and other turds in the game, makes it any better. I'm just really surprised the player's union hasn't pushed for it more. Adding 15 more DH salaries would be more beneficial in the player's minds I'm sure instead of AAAA type talent. Just my 2 cents on the matter.
Even without the DH, Cruz and Kozma should not be on a major league roster. Cruz does nothing well offensively or defensively. Kozma used to be a plus defender but he isn't anymore and his hitting has always been beyond bad. He is still trading off the clutch hit against the Nats in the division series years ago it seems like.

No, the thread is like the Coalition, because you guys want to have special rules for your threads to keep out sarcastic Hootie 2.0 who pokes fun at guys who overreact to losing a series in July and says things like, "welp, we just lost the division!" while maintaining a 2.5 game lead.

I'll tell you what. Make a donation to ChiefsPlanet today for $10 and I'll let you out of our Volquez bet. That's what kind of guy I am, Mr. 92 wins for the Cards because Rosenthal blew a few games in July.

Yup.

Being a tall dude with bizarre mechanics, Cishek will just flat fall out of sync sometimes and he'll be terrible. But when his mechanics are even okay, he'll be tough to pick up, especially for righties.

We gave up nothing for him. When Walden returns I have to think Tui sticks due to the progress he's made. At that point you end up with Rosenthal, Walden, Maness, Tuivialala and Cishek from the right side. You can use Cishek as almost a pure ROOGY at that point if he's just the 5th righty in your pen.

That's an October ready bullpen if someone can just keep Matheny from sending Choate out there to !@#$ it up.

Maybe Lilliquist can do something for him to get him straightened out. If nothing else, he's a guy that can spell the overworked relievers and once Walden is back, Cards will have a number of good and fairly rested arms in the bullpen.

I'm not going to donate $10 to get out of a measly $20 potential obligation that allows you to crow. I made a bet, so I stick to the terms.
