No bud - just buy a condom at this point and bend over. That's all you can do, sadly.

I suppose you could dispute it in another fashion - others will know more than me, on here.

Usually you can only get a 72 month lease if the price is over a set limit and/or age is under a limit. The dealer should know that limit before giving you an offer if it's the financer they normally use.

Bought a Murano from a nearby dealership (Pinnacle Nissan) and the car had a scrape on the interior of the door. Made sure the dealership would replace the door panel; they agreed and put it in writing.
Every time I tried to make an appointment to have the panel replaced, somebody always dropped the ball..."sorry man, not here yet...oh look, not ordered...this will take about 3 weeks to come from the manufacturer". Long story short, they pushed me past the 30 days on the contract to have the work done. Wrote a letter with documentation to the sales manager...then the general manager...and nothing. So stupid. I had bought 2 other cars from them previously and they treated me this way. I've bagged on them on dozens of time; they ran ads on FaceBook where I nailed them and elsewhere. I quite certain I've cost them at least one sale...so stupid of them.

I will say this is definitely not a credit issue. My score is ~780.

When I made my latest purchase they threw in an extended warranty that didn't kick in until after the factory warranty. It was part of the deal. They wouldn't come down to where I was on price so they gave me that. It's cancellable until it kicks in.
I didnt need it, won't have it that long. So I waited the correct amount of time to cancel it and called to get my money back. The dealer had beaten me to it. It had already been cancelled. Imo that's stealing so I called and threw a fit. It was A "computer error" and it got reinstated and i got the money. How many people buy those and the dealer voids them and keeps the money and they forget about the policy bythe time they need it, or get rid of it before the warranty kicks in? |

I wish I had time to list all of the things our local Toyota dealership tried on me when we bought our last (as in final or never again) Toyota.
Had an issue similar to fan4ever in that a rear window seal leaked and they farted around "ordering parts" until they thought they could get away with telling me it was "too late to fix it". That was just one of many technical/repair issues we had in the first few months. We also had a warranty issue not unlike SAUTO. The best one was when I took it in for oil and service at 25K miles - we'd been faithfully taking it to the dealership every 5000 miles because "free oil changes for life" was part of our deal. Every time I was there, at least one person left screaming at the service manager about poor service and/or lengthy waits. We often waited 90 minutes or more for an oil change and did it begrudgingly because we had already paid for it and because it was THE authorized Toyota service center in our area. At 25K miles, I stopped in for my 5th oil change and the NEW service manager looked at me funny. "We don't do an oil change at 25,000 miles" he said. Puzzled I explained to him that I had been getting my oil changed every 5,000 miles as was suggested when I bought it. He proceeded to tell me "On the new Highlander we only do oil changes every 10,000 miles." He wasn't able to tell me what the service techs were doing with my car for almost 2 hours at 5K AND at 15K miles. |
