I have a no straw for my drinks thing, hate them. So now my grandson (7) he does the same thing when him and I go out to eat. When the girls try to hand him a straw for his drink, he will say “No Thank You, straws are for suckers”. It kills every time. It’s a pretty effective start and I’ve enjoyed the company of many waitresses. I have used it as long as I can remember.

I don't do straws/lids until it's time to leave.

I love it when the order-taker sets the cups upside-down on their counter.
