The Bengals have done the best job of striking the balance. Yes I know Burrow is on a rookie deal, but so was Mahomes at one point and the Chiefs defense struggled during his rookie contract. The Bengals have an explosive offense and they have a defense that has not allowed more than 23 points in 7 playoff games the last 2 seasons. This includes 4 games against very explosive offenses (Rams, Chiefs twice, Buffalo). It will be interesting to see if Cincy can maintain this level of defensive performance over time as they begin paying bigger money at QB & WR.
