I have a bit of a soft spot for the Falcons - I really like Arthur Blank and think he's just a hell of a good owner. And as I've said before, Mayfield is a guy I've come to really like and respect, in part because of how he's dealt with adversity over the last few years.

And Belichick winning in Atlanta is likely to piss off New England fans.

So yeah - I'd definitely have myself a rooting interest out of the NFC at that point. I'd feel dirty rooting for BB - the devil himself really - but making Massholes angry would make up for it.

Not sure about that part. Seemed like most of them just followed Brady to be Bucs fans after he left.

With where he's picking......I wonder if he could just sit tight and take Daniels to play QB.

Him with that group would be interesting.

Brady definitely had a cult like following, but I think Belichick has one too. I don't think anyone in NE wants Belichick to fail (unless they are real hard Brady bootlickers) in Atlanta just so they can say the GOAT coach was in NE.

I thought Bill loved his boat so I figured he'd go to a team on a coast. Atlanta just seems weird for him to me.

If that's the plan then damn, he could have had a much better pick to do it with Patriots. More cap space as well.

Guy's not looking to build a new dynasty. He's looking to win his 30 games or whatever and get out.

Sign Cousins, use your 1st round pick on a guy that can help you win now and then, out of a sense of obligation, go ahead and Draft JJ McCarthy in the 2nd round as a bone to throw to the folks that think he's actually trying to build something long-term in Atlanta...

They don't have the talent the Falcons do though.

He’s in his 70s already and I believe if they were gonna let Sirianni go they would have already, especially with Belechick and Harbaugh being available.

I've always liked the Falcons a bit as well, but I still hope BB continues to lose so Reid can keep closing the gap on him for career wins (still large) and w/l % (very close).
