it appears to have a brass coin. I checked online and this said 'Brass - 1963 – 1970' with the Kodiak Magnum 'Kodiak Magnum 52" 1961-1977'.

In good-excellent condition, they're anywhere from 150-250.
My guy at the bow shop in west Omaha had one last month in mediocre condition, needed re-strung for 130. |

Are you asking because it's possibly a collectors item?

No my boss owns it and wants me to find out what its worth and shoot him a price. I live across the street from a range and its a good excuse to get out of the house.

I have an old Allen compound I bought off the rack from the factory in Billings, MO in the early 70's. I wonder if it's worth anything these days. It's so old I'm a little afraid to shoot it now. Although it's in excellent condition.

Make sure he pulls it before you buy it though, just to be sure he can. You also may want to get him the little archery finger gloves or he'll get some blisters. As far as arrows for you, I've had luck with Easton's. http://www.eastonarchery.com/ |

Sec is a traditional bow guy...I'll bet he'll have something to say on this subject.
My nephews have a couple of cheap compounds and a recurve. When they were 2-3, we started them out with a home-made "recurve". I think you could put your little buddy in a golden eagle kids compound bow for $30-$40. Watch craigslist....maybe put up a "wanted". I pulled a barely used kids compound, 6 arrows and a bag target with no holes in it from a city wide cleanup pile a few years ago. Kids move on, so I'll wager you could get a fairly local hookup with a good kids bow and arrows for him that way(craigslist). |
