MLB players are mercenaries (for the most part), and the Yankees can spend the most money on any pitcher they want. In addition, they are also the most prestigious organization in baseball. If you think this will hurt their ability to grab a top pitcher, you are kidding yourself.

If the Yankees dont solve this wind tunnel problem, then the top pitchers will go to Boston, the Mets, the Dodgers, etc. There's plenty of teams with money.
