The Best Show on Television... Entourage
This show fuggin Cracks me up. Maybe Im just sheltered because I dont watch TV much, but I started watching this show midway through season one, and freaking love it. Its about this young movie star and his brother, and two friends from New York, and his rise to stardom... Tonights show was at the Sundance Festival, where Vince's latest movie Queens Boulevard was a huge success... plus Turtle and Drama double-teamed this Peace Corps Chick and accidently "crossed swords". heh. funny shit. [Sorry Gochiefs, but they didnt show that part] Freaking Ari Gold, played by Jeremy Piven is fuggin unreal in this show. He makes it. Here is some cool extra footage. Anyway, if you have HBO on Demand, check it out... its great TV. http://www.hbo.com/entourage/ Last edited by teedubya; 06-26-2009 at 05:01 PM.. |

I haven't watched last nights episode...
but, I think when Jamie and Drama do the scene... that Drama is gonna fall for her or be extra aggressive or something... and Turtle and him are gonna have a big falling out... something is gonna backfire there, I'd imagine. |

Never have I been presented with hot chicks and laughs and not enjoyed myself. There might be a critique here that Entourage isn't delivering the laughs, or that some, or one [ahem], of the chicks are more pervy kidpron than hot. But to assail the CONCEPT of hot chicks and laughs? Good day sir. I SAID GOOD DAY!!!!

I'm glad you're enjoying it but I am not. It feels like any other show at this point. |

Halfway through season 2 and I am entertained. Is it natural, though, to just wish that the show was primarily about Ari?

I will take more Gary Busey episodes, though. And desert episodes. |

Dunno what you mean by 'typical' T&A comedy, as it runs the gamut from Benny Hill to Porkys to SATC to the whole Apatow ouvre. I just know I enjoy Entourage most when they give me something hot to look at or something funny like the indelible image of one of them banging in a furry suit. I've never been all that verklempt about the drama [lowercase] of where their fortunes are going as I view it merely the framework for the Artie rant and the gangs hijinks. For instance, I could care less that Artie's in the doghouse with the wife, save that it sets up his angst and will erupt in another rant/grand gesture.

This whole episode was filler. A charity event with celebrities? We need to see this in a 19 minute Entourage episode? Those things happen monthly (if not weekly). Jeffery Tambor's kids swear? Who cares? There are just so many angles this show could play, yet they're going with recycled ideas and the blatantly obvious. 19 minutes says it all. |

Dude, your there just nudge someone's shoulder, and ask them to put more depth in the show and I bet they'll oblige.

I doubt it! Perry Reeves told me last year that the show has been a success "in spite of itself", which left me a little confused. Now I know what she was talking about. |

Dane, I felt the way you feel now after watching last weeks episode.
I guess I was just happy to see a pretty funny episode, even though it didn't really advance the storyline. The first 4 episodes or however many before this didn't have me laughing much, so I was glad to get a funny one in there. |

The very first episode turtle walks in with Vince's posters, sits down to laughs with his buddies then the tits and ass immediately followed. Thats how this show has always been.

Sorry Oh HOLLYWOOD King... we don't live the life of LA and the stars... so the T & A is entertaining... sorry this is not "War and Peace". It is a comedy about dudes in Hollywood who have made it successful.
However, the end of last season they were in the dumps and IMMEDIATELY back on top... I do kind of wish it showed the sets of the movies more... but it is what it is.... 19-30 minutes of entertainment. They aren't solving cancer or preventing war... it is tits, ass and laughs. Waaaaaaah. It's not fulfilling enough! Pffffft. |
