College Transfer Question
OK so lets say you live in Iowa your whole life. You go to college for a few years, but decide you want to go back to school in Iowa again. If you move back to Iowa after being a Cali resident for two years, would you have to pay out of state tuition?

Its for my friend, his parents still live in Iowa. He paid out of state tuition his first year, but his second year he paid in state tuition.

I think at Emporia State University in Kansas you have to live in state for 6 months or something like that. You will need to call the registrar's office.

Did he establish his residency in CA, or still use his parent's address in Iowa as his "official" residence while living in CA?

If he paid instate tuition his second year...then his friend more than likely became a resident of CA. I'm assuming he'll have to pay out of state tuition for his first year in Iowa.

My niece got in-state tuition at MU even though her family hadn't lived there for eight years. I guess the previous years living in MO counted for something.
