I am by no means an expert in these legal matters, but can someone explain to me how A&M doesn't open themselves to legal action by FOX and/or the Big XII for a breach of contract? I mean, can A&M show in any form they were done injury or harm by the Big XII that would give them legal justification for not living up to the contract they were a party to?
I certainly can't answer that with any authority, but I do have a theory. Texas pretty much runs the Big XII. That much is known for certain. If the Big XII were to sue aTm, that would amount to one entity of the state of Texas suing another entity of the state of Texas. It seems unlikely to me that UT would get behind that lawsuit.
