AFCW - so is Oakland going to win it?

Granted... I don't see the AFCW Champion doing anything in the playoffs, barring some fantastic wildcard weekend match-up with another struggling team.

At this point, through week 11:

Raiders 6-4 / 2-2 div (split with Den)
Broncos 5-5 / 2-2 div
Chiefs 4-5* / 2-2 div
Chargers 4-6 / 2-2 div

Raiders remaining: CHI / @ MIA / @ GBP / DET / @ KCC / SDC
Broncos remaining: @ SDC / @ MIN / CHI / NEP / @ BUF / KCC
Chiefs remaining: @ NEP / PIT / @ CHI / @ NYJ / GBP / OAK / @ DEN
Chargers remaining: DEN / @ JAX / BUF / BAL / @ DET / @ OAK

Are the Raiders sitting pretty with only a 1 game lead?

I think the Chiefs have a pretty brutal stretch...
I have no idea how to project Denver - looks tough, but with Cutler and the Bills falling... it's not horrible.
Chargers ... I just don't know what to expect, another late season rally?

Raiders ... I could see them pulling this off and again, I realize it means very little, but looking ahead can be fun.

The Broncos really need to beat SD this week... if they can do this, then anything is possible, but even at 4-6, the Chargers are dangerous - lots of talent.

I would like to find a way for Oakland not to win the division, but it looks like they have a strong chance.

It's only a matter of time, or God, bringing Denver back down to earth.

Rivers is playing like Cassel/Sanchez.

Oakland's biggest problem looks like it's penalties. They should win the division.

They may not and they're not getting each of those things in every game as it is now. The defense needs to continue playing at the high level they've been on in the last month. The Patriots are the only legit powerhouse left on the schedule... Chargers will be tough, always are. The Bears took a big hit with Cutler's injury.

Half of Denver's remaining games are quite winnable without all the things you referenced. We'll see how it goes... I'd like to see them pull it off for no other reason that turning things around a bit, but for me to be "sold on the future" of this thing... Tebow and the passing game really has to step up. And, that could be a difficult thing to do, they're just not equipped with the TEs/WRs to work effectively in this style. If they stick with Tebow going forward... lots of things to address.

We'll see.

Very true... I can't stand the 2nd/3rd quarters of their games... painful.

Goddamn it. I don't want to think about it. Chokeland has the easiest way. But they've shown time and time again to fail in new and exciting ways.

Dungver appears to be building, but the option? Seriously? They're gonna win it with the ****ing option?

SD has rallied late but they're in a deep ass hole and the bitch known as Rivers seems to have lost his confidence. Team at this point looks to rise and fall with his douche ass.

We are terrible and I have 0 hope in Palko. If we play Stanzi, we have a shot to do some rallying. But it looks like they're giving Palko a shot, so even if Stanzi comes out fire hot, we'll be in such a deep hole it doesn't even matter.

I see no compelling reason to think that any of this shitfest will win the division.

You beat Miami because of an onside kick.

You beat the Chiefs because of a 60-yard TD pass.

You beat the Jets because of a pick six.

Don't even get me started on the Raider game. You had a 60-yard TD run AND an 85-yard punt return.

You're not going to get miracles every week.

I think you're nit-picking a bit much... one play didn't decide any of those games. Discounting how well the defense played in each is not giving them enough credit.

So, the 250 rushing yards (on average) in the OAK and KC games had nothing to do with - you know ball control and everything.

The fact that the opposing teams had mediocre/poor QB play had something to do with it as well... and look at the remaining games, Brady is the only one that you can say is consistently really good.

If you want to say that 1 or 2 big plays won those games and that's the only reason... so be it, I just think you're over looking several other factors in each game.

Oakland may only win two more games. That being said our Chiefs would be lucky to even do that. S.D. has easiest finish but do they get it together? I think Donx or Bolts.

My money is on a dramatic, league-shocking comeback by the Chiefs.

After that, I'm donating 5 dollars to Tebow's favorite charity.

You don't beat the Dolphins without that onside kick, and you don't beat the Jets without Sanchez handing you 7 points.

Those cannot be argued.

Freaking miracles.

I've heard this a lot. But, it's not necessarily true.

The fact of the matter is that there are one or two plays or three or four plays or sometimes five plays in every game that decide the outcome.

That's why you hear coaches say, "Make a play!" They don't say, "Make 30 plays!". Nope. Never. It's always, "Make a play!" ... A ... Play ... Singular.

Denver could also get a bit lucky in two weeks if Adrian Peterson misses that game, he's expected to miss at least 1 week...
