Hate being right.
Couple of theories online include Brock only working a month and the year contract was a work, and that Cena really is leaving for a while, Brock's going to destroy everyone while he's gone, and then Cena can come back and save the WWE. Both of which suck. I didn't watch, but apparently it was a great match until the head-scratching finish. |

Haven't watched it yet, but my Twitter timeline was raving about the Cena v Lesnar match. That shit was actually engaging, even if the ending was vintage Cena.

Sheamus-Bryan was on the verge of being one of my favorite matches of the past ten years until the finish, and it could still be up there if they somehow have the attention span to pay off the AJ-Bryan stuff a month or two down the road.
Punk-Jericho was okay, and ended really nicely. I wasn't super into it but it's not their fault so much as the weird, dumb booking for the angle. Lesnar-Cena was genuinely stunning and brutal and amazing. I watched it with my mouth agape. They were doing everything they needed to create an unstoppable monster and give Cena a break plus a fresh take on his character when he comes back. And then Cena won. And is taking a break anyways? And... huh?

Cena had to feel good about how much the Chicago crowd was cheering him after that match. He really turned 'em.

Time to see if it's going to be Lesnar-HHH leading to Lesnar-Austin leading to Lesnar-Rock at Wrestlemania as rumored.

Oh, hey, more Cena toilet jokes.
Why didn't a DB-Punk showdown close this show? FU, Cena. |
