I haven't been there in a while (four years, maybe?), but I remember Pizza Street actually being okay. |

here's a tip. if you like to cook (or try something different for a change).
get 2 of the biggest flour tortillas that you can find. use a mister mister and spray both, overlapping one just a few inches above the other. put on your favorite sauce, thin layer of mozzarella cheese, and 1 layer of pepperoni. toss it in the oven @ around 500 degrees (broil it). for 6-7 minutes. there's your ultra thin pizza. of course commercial pizza ovens more than likely get hotter than a home oven. but you can add more or less time trying to get it right. one of our best pizzas was made this way. the ultra thin crust pizza was one of my favorites. it was a special, and only went for 1 summer, but i loved every day of it!

You weren't cool unless you pulled up to Big Cheese Pizza in your El Camino, wearing a wife beater and "Hammer" pants, and sporting a mullet.

I had the mullet and the hammer pants. Didn't have my first car until I was a junior in college so I couldn't pull up to anything. I rocked my girlfriends plain white sedan though.

I was serious about that Shakespeare's pizza though. If you see it, buy it.

Well to be honest the hammer pants were just a short faze. I was the first boy to piece his ear in my high school... which made me a bit of an outcast. Usually I rocked the ripped jeans, black boots with chains around the neck and bottom, long black overcoat, 5 o'clock shadow (could grow my beard it as a junior... outcast there too), gloves with the fingers cut off and I even painted my fingernails black before it was rock n roll for guys to do that. Cross between Judd Nelson (Bender) in The breakfast Club and Keifer Sutherland (David) in The Lost Boys.
I was pretty hardcore.
