I'm a huge Gordon fan....but it's time for him to take racing seriously and race both series of just quit wanting wins. Not that it would have helped today, but if all he wants is to race in the cup series, he'd better get used to not winning. If family is a bigger deal to him, then just understand that other racers live to race, so they have an advantage!

Jeff Gordon has been running great this season - But, he has had the worst luck of any driver this year.

Jeff blew an engine, dropped a cylinder, cut a tire, had overheating problems, (I think) Bowyer got underneath him and spun him out - crew penalties on pit lane, etc.

In Dover, Jeff had a very fast car - he led 60-65 laps, but had some misfortune with his tire that in my opinion cost him the victory.

Jeff had to make an early pit stop an worked his way back to lead. Then on the last pit stop, Jeff got caught when a caution came out and he finished 13th.

Thank you.........my point exactly. That's why I bet him about Kahne not making the chase. The statement "I didn't ever think he would win a race in the 5 car." WTF? You would have to have never watched NASCAR or seen Kasey race to say that. He's never been in equipment close to what he's in now (save for maybe 2 years when Evernham was for real). Guy just spews stupid shit and more stupid shit. At least he will be silenced in this thread come Chase time.

Been watching Nascar since the 70's, the car was there... Kahne wasn't ready to go. In other words, I might be proved wrong, but there are still several races to go.

Also that 5 car has struggled mightily. Churned through several drivers with VERY VERY limited success, especially with the massive success of the other 2 teams. So **** off GoHuge.

I think Mark Martin had the most wins in the #5 car in Cup. Kyle was a driver for Hendrick for three years (?) and had three /four wins in the #5.

The #5 car was more successful in the Busch Series. I believe I've read: Hendrick raced the #5 --

I could be wrong.

Are you sure you're not getting Mark Martin and Terry Labonte mixed up? Martin drove the #6 for many years and Labonte drove the #5.
