It varies depending upon the intent of the appearance. As a general rule, though, a 3rd string QB going 2 of 7 and displaying questionable decision making skills while throwing inaccurately in the first preseason game of the season is not going to be considered to have played well.

He's got 3 games to show improvement, and I wish him well.
