I'm not so sure. Your words of death have an iron-like quality, though, so I'll ponder the issue some more.

Right now, however, I have to believe that the majority of "Chiefs fans" will buy any change (be it HC, QB, whatever) as sufficient to encourage them to pay the fare.

I will admit, I want to draft a QB SO BAD, I don't know if I will be able to quit watching, even if it is Pioli that is doing the drafting.

I will continue to watch with a keen eye to see what moves are made. Anything less than GREAT choices for HC and QB and I'm done.

Then get ready to be done.

I can't see a great HC and a great draft in the future for a Pioli run team.

I can't either. That is why I have this sick feeling in the pit of my stomach right now.

But stranger things have happened... I suppose....

Would it really matter? If Scott is back, we have a owner problem and will never win then. No that would be it for me then.

I still don't have a problem with Hunt. He hired what seemed the obvious choice for GM. He's got the same problem his dad had, just too loyal.

I'm not talking about 4 years ago. Agreed, at the time it appeared to be the right move. But we have a ton more evidence now. If Clark doesn't make this move, he's David Glass to me. With just about as likely of a chance to ever win big also... Yeah, I'd have a problem with that type of owner.

I can only hope you aren't referring to all the rumors as evidence.

Pioli missed twice on hiring a good Head Coach
Pioli blew it on getting a good QB
Pioli has a losing record in KC

Now that's enough to get a GM fired, no doubt.

after that, it's pretty much rumor mongering bullshit

How many people here have pointed out that with a legit QB and HC you can succeed? And if you have a super star QB you may not even need that great a HC. The GM and owner are out of the equation at that point.

Not saying that is the way I would like to see it but, it does not change the fact it could still work.

Its pretty know fact. Generally among the season ticket holder base, you will have:

10k or so are the Deb and Luzap types.
10k or so are business tickets
10k or so the total hardcore football fans aka CP posters.

You would have an average of 30k or so just on those demographics. The casual fan it what takes the 30k up to the 70k+ plus crowds. Its what Carl Peterson knew and understood well.

Its simple really especially in the midwest - make it fun, make the players envolved in the community, and win enough to put you in the hunt each year.
