How is DirecTV this inept?
I have been trading emails with Directv lately because of my over the air channel issues. How can the tech support people be this inept? Anyone else had these kinds of issues? If so, how did you resolve them? I mean, other than switching to Cox or Dish Network.

Oh and apparently I didn't catch this add on to their last reply in which they admitted the mistake of looking at the wrong zip. Still not any help. And I didn't see that email before I replied to the previous one that suggested I was in Arkansas.

DirectTV is notorious for their crappy customer service. Horrible. From hardware to subscription/programming problems, they can't fix a damn thing in a timely fashion...or without charging the customer. Damn you Sunday NFL Ticket!! Wait...I'm a Chief's fan...do I need The Ticket anymore????

Never had problems with DTV, luck of the draw I guess. All customer care sucks today IMO. You would probably have better luck calling in. They always have people from India doing email or chat and they never show empathy.

We actually just dropped DirecTV and are going with an OTA antenna and probably something like HuluPlus. Saves us $70+ a month...mostly channels we don't watch anyway.

Calling them is my next step, I guess. I just like being able to spell it all out in an email. I'm afraid if I call them I will be on the phone for an hour and nothing will get accomplished.

I have had to call them twice and they where able to fix it the first time both calls where under 15 minutes.
