Strengths to this draft:
-QB. Duh. -Rhodes and Thomas are NFL starters who will compete with Lewis and Slapdick X for starting spots on the roster. The massive crater that ***** created in the secondary will soon be in the past -You say we had a depth problem in our defensive backfield? Sounds fascinating -Adds REAL depth to playmaking positions. No ****ing McClusters or Wylies. -All of these players with the exception of Uzzi and Burkhead have huge pro potential, yet aren't so raw that they shouldn't even see the field their rookie years. Weaknesses to this draft -Really puts pressure on Bowe to get re-signed -No defensive line picks, leaves it kind of an open wet fart of a glaring weakness, and the thing that may be this team's downfall in 2013. On the other hand, I think it's time to find some talent via free agency if we can't draft our own defensive linemen. We've been so heavy at that position for so long that it's probably time to ease off it for a year just so we can take inventory of what's there and what's not. But this IS Andy Reid we're talking about -Belcher's old spot will still probably be open next year, though I COULD potentially see Simon working out there. Another year of Siler wouldn't be the end of the world. -A few other holes remain open, though that's going to occur no matter how well we draft this year. |

I bet Xavier Rhodes could play FS in the NFL...he's certainly big enough and can cover well.

I really like the first four picks. I don't know much about the next four but, I will start watching them. I think Thomas is a second round lock who might slide into the first. I will be very suprised if Reid moves Berry. He is the best run support safety in the NFL and that's why he's made two pro bowls at SS. However, he does remind me of Brian Dawkins more than any other player and he was a FS under Reid so maybe you will get your wish? Thomas is a guy that could play both safety positions and he and Berry could switch back and fourth. I like this concept a lot. You should check out Cooper Taylor, FS, from Richmond (he transferred from Georgia Tech). He is 6'4" 230 lbs. He has good speed and agaility. He's a ball hawk, a solid tackler, and can lay the wood. He is a little raw but is very underrated. I think he's a guy we will look at for sure that would allow Berry to move around. Cooper already moves around and plays both positions. Check out the video below (note that It's from a couple of years ago when he was at Tech). It is hard to find tape on the guy.
Last, I love Uzzi. I had him in my first mock here back in November. He would be a perfect last pick. Great job man. Last edited by Rambozo; 01-25-2013 at 08:28 AM.. |

Okay, let me re-word that.
A weakness to this draft is if the Chiefs don't re-sign Bowe, they're kind of boned at WR for awhile |

Would love this draft. Geno and Rhodes would make it a home run. And Wheaton is a play maker.

Direckshun-style projection. I really like all the options we have at LB with this draft. Essentially, depth in the defensive backfield is a problem no more. I see Simon as a guy that can play on the interior for us if we want to retain that "thumper" role that Belcher had.
QB: Smith, FA, Stanzi RB: Charles, Gray, Droughn, Burkhead FB: DiMarco WR: Bowe, Baldwin, Wheaton, Breaston, Copper TE: Boss, Moeaki, Gragg LT: Albert, Stephenson LG: Allen, Uzzi C: Hudson, Patterson RG: Asamoah, Uzzi RT: Winston, Stephenson DE: Poe, Pitouitua DT: Powe, Smith, Some guy DE: Jackson, Bailey OLB: Hali, Simon ILB: Siler, Simon, Hodges ILB: Johnson, Hodges OLB: Houston, Simon CB: Flowers, Rhodes, Arenas, Brown, Daniels S: Berry, Thomas, Lewis, Elam or FA |

I would love it if this happened.
QB and CB are the Chiefs biggest needs. Adding LB depth and getting help at Safety is also critical in this draft. |
