[KC taking a QB #1] "I say absolutely no chance of that happening." -Mel Kiper
http://espn.go.com/video/clip?id=espn:8925376
Says it around 3:45 I prefer Mayock over at NFL for my mock drafts, but Kiper is smart enough and cares enough about his reputation to not make a statement like that unless he absolutely believes in it. |

Chiefs shouldn't give up the farm for Alex obviously, maybe a number five pick and some cash. Chiefs don't tell him what they have planned anyway they are providing him a job is all. This is just a plan don't get so uptight just food for thought type of opinion. |

Furthermore, dicking around players won't make the Chiefs attractive to free agents, let alone, existing players. |

I honestly would rather use the 5th round pick. I don't see that being enough for him anyway with other teams looking at him. A team isn't going to draft a guy at 1.1 not expecting him to be the guy, especially at a position where it's not a rotation. The #2 QB needs to be a guy there to help the 1.1 QB, not one being pissed off that we gave him a job only to take it away. Alex is going to have his option of teams. |

You are aware of his pre-draft quote on JaMarcus Russell right? "Three years from now you could certainly be looking at a guy who is certainly one of the elite top five quarterbacks in this league . . . Nobody has an arm like JaMarcus Russell. . . Obviously, he'll need a little time. But you're talking about a 2-3-year period. Once he's under center, look out, because the skill level he has is certainly John Elway-like." This guy is as only good as his nearest contact. So unless you think he has a bug at One Arrowhead Drive.....

I just don't see the Chiefs taking a QB this year when Alex Smith is obviously coming. So many superior QBs coming out in the next couple of years.

There are certainly things Reid and Dorsey could do to make me question them right away. They stick with Cassel they can **** themselves but they aren't going to do that. I'm not big on Alex Smith, so if they bring him in I'm going to be disappointed. They pass on a QB in the first I'm going to be disappointed because I don't see the ones worth it lasting until our next pick. |

Good answer (liked you passed a test), Ultimately I do trust Dorsey and Reid on this matter like you and understand that they know what they are looking for and coming up with a plan. I would like to see Cassel gone actually with Stanzi packing his bags as well. That poses the question, say we draft Geno or Wilson, we need to fill in the second and third string positions. Preferably with some experience but with who? |

You are just terrible. Please GTFO this forum and go back to spouting your nonsense on the Jags board. I don't believe you're even THINKING about next year's class when there is a draft this year and a season of football to be played. You need to seriously stop. Go to another Chiefs website because this one is not full of true fans like you and you will never be welcome. |
