Here's some perspective: I hate your college team, and you hate my college team... but we'll all hate the Chiefs come mid-May.

That's perspective, folks.

Instead of giving to the right person, which is a basic responsibility for any ref at any level, they gave it to someone else. Not a judgment call. A giant mistake.
Withey's 1st foul was on a screen that he does practically every KU possession. If you really want the refs to call the game that strictly by the book, he'd be out of the game by the 16 minute mark. In addition, you'd have to call a foul on every one of ISU's possessions because they do the same thing to get their 3 PT shots.

Withey'd 2nd foul was on a ticky-tack blocking foul with the body on Babb that wouldn't have been called a foul at home or on a neutral court.

Withey's 3rd foul was called a charge on a play that was clearly a block (Niang shifted over and wasn't in any position to flop, but did so anyway). It cost KU three points (as he made the basket).

Withey's 4th foul was a ticky-tack blocking foul when Niang shot the ball into Withey's outreached arm. Again, it wasn't a call that would go against him at home or neutral.

Sure, Withey should have fouled out on the "5th," but only if you believe all of those fouls on him before that were actually fouls. They weren't. The refs didn't just **** up at the end of the game, they ****ed up all game.

They should call all moving screens too, that would be fair.

If they did, KU and ISU would have some trouble scoring. Pretty much every NCAA team without an excellent creator with the ball would.

Actually, we're more likely to get more calls if we play again on a neutral...whether it's in KC or in the tournament down the road. So I wouldn't get your hopes up.
