You need to do better than that. Things are changing and more and more are jumping on the Geno bandwagon. The fact is that more people are jumping off the Jokeel bandwagon too. He is receiving competition for the top tackle spot after the combine. Further more star has dropped off and so has Jones. Things change this time of year and they will continue to. Eventually youll see a lot of people thinking Geno is worth the top pick and i think i speak for a majority of CP when i say and rightfully so.

EVERYBODY has risk. Let me help you out with some of that: Luke Joeckel: Not the consensus top LT in the draft. Finesse player who is average at best in the run game at LOS (good on second-level). Struggled at times with guys who have NFL speed and power. Eric Fisher: LT from directional school has the frame and athletic ability, and is actually a nasty run blocker (better than Joeckel). But competition level is a question, as is top-end upside. Jarvis Jones: Has spinal stenosis and might never get cleared medically. DeMontre Moore: Not an elite athlete. Tumbling down draft boards. Bjoern Werner: Not an elite athlete, but a good try-hard guy. Raw. Production came in spurts. Not guaranteed to be a first-division RE. Shariff Floyd: He's probably the best DL at this point, but his production was up and down in college and he's not scheme diverse (really needs to play in a 4-3 scheme where he can focus on penetration and pushing the pocket). Sheldon Richardson: Same issues as Floyd - not someone you can play at end in a 3-4 and not big enough to be a NT - but with maturity and work ethic questions, to boot. Chance Warmack: He's a fucking guard (who played on an elite college unit with tons of talent around him). Talk about a reach! There is not an elite Non-QB in this draft. JaDaveon Clowney isn't sitting out there. No, Geno Smith is not as flawless as Robert Griffin III or Andrew Luck (though, really, the only thing separating RG3 and Geno Smith is the freakish athletic ability of RG3, while Geno is just elite for QB). But he sure as hell stacks up just fine next to Matt Stafford, Matt Ryan, Sam Bradford, or Cam Newton, the other recent "top QBs" not named Luck or Griffin.

Jags aren't in this and the Cards are not getting him since he's in the division. Jason LaCanfora's report is pretty much sealing the deal.
Alex Smith is wearing red and gold next fall. ****

He's so focused on value for the pick he's missing the bigger picture of it being about impact & wins. A value LT pick isn't going to do squat making impact or adding wins. So what are we talking about then? Joe Flacco, Big Ben, Aaron Rogers. All these guys were not "worth the 1st pick". So what does that tell you. |

Unless they're planning on trading back to the mid 1st and think they can still get Geno. It just doesn't seem very realistic. |
