If we pass on him, how far will Geno fall?
Let's look at this from another angle. Say we take *insert player here* instead of Geno Smith. Who grabs him instead of us? I say the Raiders won't be able to not take him, and we get to pay for it for about a decade.

This is a quarterback league. There is no position on the field more important to a team. I still say Geno is the pick based on that fact alone, but if I'm wrong, there is going to be a team picking not that far behind us that will thanks us greatly and swipe him up. Opinions?

Geno is definitely going to Jacksonville.

It's a perfect situation for them. No pressure on Geno coming in. Gabbert either proves himself or gives way to Geno, who can be eased in.

If Gabbert comes through they can deal Geno.

If it happens that'd be great, because the Chiefs need to get SOME KIND of value for their #1 pick, instead of blowing it on a LT.

I don't think Flynn's a fit in Buffalo and I don't think the Bills will sell any tickets by trading for a true backup to start.

I think that Buddy Nix would be the only possible suitor. His sheer incompetence was on display this week in the form of a prank call, which led to the release of his overpaid starting QB.

Unless Ralph Wilson suddenly fires him this week, I think the 73 year old Nix reaches for a QB and trades whatever it takes to get to #1 overall in an effort to save his job.

If he doesn't, he probably loses his job, anyway.

Flynn is a nobody that doesn't have the arm strength for the strong Buffalo winds.

Nassib is going to be a tough sell because he's most certainly a project. Buffalo hasn't been to the playoffs since 1999 and taking a QB in the second isn't likely to ignite their fan base.

Buddy Nix is fighting for his job. He may be dumb enough to think that Nassib will save it, but I doubt it.
