Brett favre, Ed Reed and a long list of other NFL's lost someone and used that pain to excel on the football field. Thay was the choice Russell should have made. Agreed. However, if me or you lose our uncle, mom, brother etc. our employer will only cut us a break for a little while and then our prior production levels must return. He had two years. He had help and a company that wanted to help him. Me and you will never get two years.

I understand loss of a loved one. But, I don't see any reason to shed tears for the guy. He got $35 million.
