I'd love for someone to provide some statistical evidence to support that Alex Smith dumps balls off more than the average NFL qb. Last edited by Jakemall; 05-30-2013 at 04:18 PM.. |

Eat shit, asshole. I was referring to the link. Everyone knows Alex Smith is a dumpoff queen.

Given a similar environment, he probably would be. And in fact, was, for the majority of his career.

This was 2011. I don't know what it was for 2012, but his QB rating was significantly higher in 2012 than it was in 2011..so I imagine that it was the same or better. |

2012 / when Alex was blitzed = 126.8 QBR with 8 TDs and 1 INT. ![]() EDIT: though PFF shows that his 2011 was a 97.6 QBR. |

That is the most consistent thing about Alex Smith over the years.

Believe what you want to try and lessen your QB, if that makes you feel better, though. |

Another stat proving Cassel is who we thought he was. Good riddance. At least Smith isn't part of the lower end. Crawling back in my hole now.

PFF exposed Cassel as a fraud before he even got here. They are MUCH more favorable towards Alex.

If Smith is such an amazing QB why did he hit the open FA market 2 years in a row, only to not garner any attention?
In a QB starved league, Alex Smith was on the market 3 consecutive years.

2011 - everyone knew that Alex wanted to come back to the 9ers. One year is not enough to erase the doubt that was associated with him. Signed a solid (but by no means spectacular) contract with the 9ers for 3 years. 2012 - Still under contract, the 9ers shop Alex because he wants to be a starter and they are committed to Kaepernick. There were a number of teams interested, which is why the Chiefs probably gave up 2 2nd rounders for him. |
