Broncos' Clady to miss rest of season
The Denver Broncos will place left tackle Ryan Clady in season-ending injured reserve Wednesday, according to multiple reports.
The All-Pro suffered a Lisfranc sprain in the arch of his left foot in the final minutes of the Broncos' 41-23 victory over the New York Giants on Sunday. The Broncos were hoping the anchor of their offensive line could return to protect quarterback Peyton Manning before the end of the season, but medical tests on Tuesday ruled that out. The normal recovery time from the Lisfranc injury is three to four months. Chris Clark, who was signed Friday, will step in as Denver's starting left tackle on Monday night against the Oakland Raiders. Clark started 12 games for the Indianapolis Colts last season. http://sports.yahoo.com/news/broncos...7407--nfl.html |

Anytime you lose a player of Clady's caliber it hurts, but it could be worse. I think this would hurt them more if it were someone in the middle (along with obviously poor play). Manning reads the defense and gets rid of the ball fast enough that an injury on the edge wouldn't be that big of a blow. In the middle is a different story as it's the quickest way to get to the QB.

Laugh about the Raiders but they can get after the QB. I don't think this will be as easy as you all do.

Why not? Albert is likely gone next year, and it's not like the Chiefs are going to the Super Bowl this year. Might as well get something for a player on his way out the door.

No one was feeling sorry for the Chiefs 2 years ago when we lost Charles and Berry in the first couple weeks of the season and then the Bronco's basically ending up winning the division by "attrition" with an 8-8 record, by backing into it on the last day of the regular season with Tebow at QB. The Chiefs, as you know, finished 7-9 that year. I think it's fair to say with a healthy Berry and Charles all year, we could have won a couple more games. So it works both ways . . . . . |

Lady is vastly overrated anyway. If you put Branden Albert on that team nobody would notice any difference.

You can't buy leadership and loyalty. Albert has earned the right to be treated like a team captain, not a bargaining chip.
