Chiefs Would you trade the no. 1 pick for Cam Newton? - Page 11

We ran into this topic late Saturday night in another thread.

I personally don't like Cam at all. He's got a ton of talent, but is an absolute idiot. He can't even learn a full playbook. Newton has put up some big numbers, but they haven't translated into a lot of wins.

He is 13-19 as a starter over 2 years.

58.9% comp | 7,920 yards pass | 40 passing TDs | 29 INTS | 1,447 rush yards | 22 rushing TDs |

Would you give up our no. 1 pick for Cam Newton?

Regardless Quinn was a cheap QB back then with a 1st round pedigree back before the CBA made #1 picks friendly QB picks.

in other words...Quinn was a worthwhile risk where if he sucked it wouldn't cost us ANYTHING...but drafting Russel #1 overall would have cost us $50 million.

also...we've seen Cam...the dude is a flat out STUD with an ego issue...he's a no brainer at #1 every single year of the decade minus last year.

not trading our #1 for him is hilarious

7. Big Ben

10. Flacco/Romo

Guys with potential to be top 10: Stafford, Cutler

I'm probably missing a guy or two as I just put this together off the top of my head I'm just saying in terms of WIN SHARES Kaepernick and Wilson are ****ing awesome...and Cam has potential if he'd grow up a bit. I'll take a guy who just needs to grow up if he has the ****ing potential Cam Newton has. My ****ing God.

That guy is going to be, without a doubt, a first ballot hall of famer. Of course, this is coming from the guy that predicted Romo to be a hall of famer when he was still backing up Bledsoe BUT STILL

Russell may be an exception to a rule but I'd take him over any QB in the NFL...

I also don't think rings, in any sport, define a player (especially football). Maybe the NBA.

Too many factors.

Tom Brady is three fluke plays for being 5 for 5 in Super Bowls and I honestly can't put him above Peyton Manning no matter how much everyone argues for it. Eli should be 0-2. Instead he's 2-2 and people want to say he's better than his brother because of it.

Ridiculous.

Flacco is one Rahim Moore away from possibly being on a different team next year...which means Peyton and Brady are one Rahim Moore away from having been in another Super Bowl...

just too many 'bounce' rules in football...
