Clark Hunt met with Marty?

http://www.kctv5.com/story/20058706/...schottenheimer

KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -
Chiefs fans are excitedly buzzing about whether team owner Clark Hunt is preparing to offer former coach Marty Schottenheimer the general manager position or get his help on reversing the team's declining fortunes.

SiriusXM NFL Radio reported that Schottenheimer was at Arrowhead Stadium on Friday to meet with Hunt, who is in Kansas City. This set Chiefs fans on Twitter and Facebook afire.

The team flatly denies that Schottenheimer was at the practice facility today.

However, left unclear was whether Schottenheimer and Hunt met at a different location, met earlier this week or whether they have a meeting later this week.

General Manager Scott Pioli is under fire after the Chiefs 1-7 start and a disappointing four-year tenure in Kansas City after he left the New England Patriots.

Tell us what you think. Should the Chiefs bring back "Martyball" or hire Schottenheimer as a consultant? Go to

hahaha

Yeah, and what happened after Vermiel left?

poop

Vermiel took his offense to KC and what happened? fireworks.

Trying to discredit Vermiel for those offense and teams is foolish.

Cmon man.

Marty's not coming back. Joe Gibbs came back and wasn't able to right the Washington ship outside of a quick trip to the playoffs one year. Marty wouldn't even do that.

I just hope Marty's "consulting" doesn't lead to Brian Schottenheimer as the next head coach of the Chiefs...

I just shook my head and thought that was his best chance at winning a Super Bowl and he just threw it away by playing "not to lose" instead of playing to win. Shoot, even Herm knows that, "YOU PLAY TO WIN THE GAME!" (Sorry - I had to go there...)

No one is suggesting that other that reactionary tards when they hear people showing up to have lunch with Clark.

Clark values his opinion. He's proven he can take a team and turn it around.

Clark needs that kind of info now.

The credit goes to his assistants. He didn't have that offense in Philly, either.

He thought Priest Holmes was a third down back. Give me a break.

The Chiefs under Vermeil did jack shit.

They scored a lot of points because Carl traded for Willie Roaf and signed an underrated RB that Dick didn't know had the ability he had when Carl signed him.

But Dick failed in every other aspect fo that job.

If you put a satellite on a roof, but don't connect it to the TV, what the **** good is that satellite?

I have to tap out and hit the pillow. Bed time.

Point is this entire franchise needs to be rebuilt from the ground up.

I hope Clark meets with Marty, DV, Cowher, or any former HC willing to give him info on how they took a $3it team and resurrected it...

It was a combined effort. Vermeil was instrumental, but so was the front office in forcing him to fire some coaches, and hire Martz.

Vermeil in KC didn't work because after Vermeil's tenure here reached the critical juncture, Carl instead of forcing DV to hire a good defensive coach, forced DV to hire Gunther.

So Vermeil could never get the D straightened out here, and thus left as what I consider a failure. Offensive fireworks mean nothing to me when you don't win...
