Gretz' Draft Need List

http://www.kcchiefs.com/news/2007/04..._chiefs_needs/

People are going to be upset about his ranking and comments about WR.

His WR comments are idiotic. Our offense wasn't very good last year, and WR was a big part of that. This is no longer the offense that's putting up 4,000+ yards a season through the air. He's making the same argument about our WR needs that people made three years ago. It obviously doesn't hold true anymore.

On the need for a corner...it's fair to say that it is high on the list. I think Law only has maybe one productive year left. If you bring in a corner to play nickel this year, he gets his feet wet and then steps in full time next season. Not a bad plan. I'd rather take a corner (assuming there's value there) than a guard.

Unless Levi Brown is there at 23.....
I've spent the last few minutes looking for some info on Staley.

I'm firmly convinced he'll be gone when we pick at #23, let alone if we trade down.

only player that's worthy of a late 1st round pick is Grubbs everyone else on that list I'd pass on

if we're going to draft an OL I hope we trade out of the first....get a high 3rd and take Sears in the top of the second, or something like that..

I hope we take Ross. We could use another Dale Carter, without the off-field baggage.

I can't wait until Gretz' Friday column, when he tells us who the Chiefs will draft. I still remember him saying that we would take Siavii in the 2nd round a few years ago (but failing to mention that we would trade out of the 1st round to take him). And the year that he predicted we would take Jared Allen in the 7th round.

I like the idea of a versatile offensive lineman as our biggest need. I like Blalock. But if they went for another interior lineman like Sears or Grubbs, I'd be satisfied because I see that as a big need.

Then I'd like a CB, then a DT, then a WR.

Grubbs is the most versatile interior lineman in the draft...
