Except that's illogical. We won't know how good his recruiting class of 2012 was until years from now, after the 2012 award for coaching has already been given.

You are right because MU doesn't have a rich basketball tradition to recruit for it. Haith is going to have to bust his ass in recruiting in order to succeed. Self just has to show up and coach because recruits flock to the school of Kansas.

I very much doubt that. The collapse in that game combined with his complaints afterwards (and the fact that MU is leaving the conference) sealed his fate, though.

I have no problem with Haith winning any coach of the year awards.

My original point was calling him out for choosing Hoiberg over Self while Self voted for him.

Haith and MU's pettiness is what makes me chuckle. Guess we all get a laugh this afternoon.

Maybe some banker 20 years from now will decide that KU was the national champion in 2011, and you can hang another banner. That's much better than the crapshoot.
