I've heard it's a completely different type of buzz, plus you can take the brownies to places where you can't smoke.

Same story.

My friends made some for my birthday once.

Me and another good friend of mine had 2 or 3 of them and were playing Gran Tourismo 2 thinking these things were a bust. The 2 seasoned potheads with us kept telling us to wait.

Meanwhile, my buddy's parents called and asked if we wanted to go catch a movie and go to the Jazz afterwards. The two pros warned us not to go, we stupidly ignored them.

About 20 minutes into the movie, my buddy and I both look at each other at the same time and realize we are absolutely obliterated. My head felt like it was 20 feet above my body. We managed to make it out of the movie but it had trouble walking straight. We finally got it together and and headed to Jazz. I learned about 18 months later that I was slouched so far down in the chair that I was reaching my arm to almost full length to get to my gumbo and my head was pretty much level with the bowl. My buddy spent most of the evening mumbling incoherently. His parents never knew what was up...but his older sister did.

The lesson, as always - don't doubt potheads when given fair warning.

Pot brownies F'ing rule.

because when when you cook with cannabis you don't burn off different cannabinoids you normally would when smoking it. Edibles actually are best for pain because you get the full dose of cannabinoid content contrary to smoking or even vaping cannabis.

The classic Barney Miller Episode "Hash", where Wojo brings in brownies baked by his girlfriend.
