The problem will be with Muir if we win out and the offense takes significant strides forward. Much harder for Pioli to excuse firing him at that point.

The first personnel move Pioli should make is to evaluate himself then GTFO

with the way our defense is and how Romeo completely 180'd it, give him the job! hiring a new head coach could set the defense back and we are seriously a QB, some depth and a couple of o-linemen away from Superbowl contending, assuming Charles, Moeaki and Berry can recover from those injuries.

hell ya we are. We have a talented team dude, talent everywhere but the most important position. OR maybe Orton will be our new Rich Gannon, only keep him this time and not let him get MVP for the raiders, but you know, Rich Gannon had a similar rode as Orton is having. NFL journeyman QB, never could stay in one city until he been around the world, learned a few things, learned the ways of the force and once he got that last opportunity, he killed it!

Maybe Orton is our new Gannon.

Muir bragging about the "efficiency" of the play calling? What a clown.

If Muir returns in any capacity with the Chiefs next season that will be an epic fail.

Chill out, people. What did you expect him to say, that Romeo is a this that whatever who should be on the next bus out of town?

I say, enough of the "hands on" references...

Hali's statement is infinitely more important that Muir's...

It seems weird to hear all this from coaches and players considering how close-lipped everyone has been for the last 3 seasons. Either Pioli has lost control or he's well aware and even encouraging people to say this stuff because he knows he's going to hire Romeo.

I dunno. But the fear of spouting this stuff seems to be gone. That in and of itself signals some serious changes in the organization.

Is the entire Muir interview posted anywhere?

Pretty interesting that everyone has been blaming Muir all year for communication problems when it might not be him.

It's funny because I've been pretty vocal in fighting the "it's all Haley's fault" crowd but I don't know how you could look at the communication issues and blame them on MUIR.

Did anybody ask Muir this week wtf he didn't once out of the five times inside the 5 yard line last week call a simple boot, play action fake and toss to the TE in the back of the end zone, that every other team in the NFL calls and finds the guy wide open every time?

His play calling inside the 10 yard line was predictable and atrocious.

Muir also appears to have more sense than Haley when it comes to QBs:

“I think that he has some instincts I guess that’s the right word,” Muir said. “But he seems to have the ability to make quick decisions and the ball comes out of this hand quickly. I think that was pretty evident last week.”

“The offensive line always appreciates somebody who throws the ball quickly,” Muir said.

I hope this means Cassel's era in KC is nearing its end.
