How do we end the Regular Season?

What will be our W/L record at the end of the regular season; barring a tie?

Poll forthcoming.

I remember when True Fans were at peace with the Pioli/Cassel era.

Thanks to the people here at CP who have higher expectations, we started Save Our Chiefs... flew banners, and got those ****ers out of here.

It's time again where we put aside our "at peace" with mediocre play and demand a bit more.

I'm "at peace" with a team that makes the playoffs regularly with some shot to go further. While I realize we've never actually seen the Chiefs "go further," the same could've been said for the Royals and then lo and behold. I want a better team but I can live with one that at least keeps it entertaining enough for me to care. And this season, pre-Mahomes, a lot of people had completely written off anyway. 2017 was never a win-now season and that explains why we didn't draft for 2017 "need" in either of the first two rounds.

And curse you but I was never remotely "at peace" with anything Pioli or Cassel.

I actually have a ton of confidence that the Chiefs are 100% committed to mahomes next year. If that doesn't happen, that's when I'll take out the pitchfork. But not necessarily this year.

This is the Chiefs being the Chiefs. Most here thought this was a quasi-rebuilding-pre-Mahomes year anyway. So prepare for some glimmer of hope toward the end of this season that leads you to maybe, just maybe, think we might be able to beat Pittsburgh or New England, and then just prepare for the inevitable. I'm at peace with this because I expected nothing different this year.
But that's the thing - a 5-0 start had us believing that this WASN'T the same old Chiefs, and that's why so many were buying in. A month later, and we see it's just the same old, same old. And we've all collectively had enough of the same old, same old.

Depends !!

IF AR stays with Alex, 8-8 no playoffs.

IF AR goes with PM2, 10-6 if not 11-5 with a better than average shot to at least making it to the AFC championship.

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

If Reid continues to stick with Alex Smith, 7-9 might be a stretch.

They will still back their way into a division title and probably a playoff win just because San Diegans can't have nice things. We all should have seen it coming that the Spanos family's team would turn into a "winner" the minute they got to LA. **** Alex Smith and Andy Reid for making it possible.
