That is a dumbass argument, under this argument no GM should ever be ripped even the shitty ones.

I remember this was the argument made when Pioli started catching heat from a handful of posters, how'd that turn out?

The guy said a lot of people on CP could do better than NFL professionals. That is absurd. I know you think you are the shit, but no one here really knows as much as they think they do about drafting.

Yup.

I'm happy overall with both but we do have a 1st time GM and a HC that many thought should take a year off...

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

Exactly Rausch,

So far Reid and Dorsey are batting 0 for 0, but if they pass on a QB in the first round, that will be a falling down whiff of a strike one.

I think its a mistake to try and compare Dorsey to Pioli, but I know several CPers are going to say, Dorsey= Pioli, if he doesn't draft Smith first. Dorsey isn't Pioli. Pioli was in the right place at the right time to get some of the credit for the Pats success, but was never relied upon. Dorsey has been THE person making the draft board in GB, he was much more important to his team than Pioli was.

I must have not been clear on what I meant Messier.

I was talking about me as a fan, giving a pass to Pioli when he drafted Tyson Jackson at 3, and spent the Tony G pick from the Falcons on Arenas after taking McCluster.

Many on here were pissed, and I was dumbfounded, but dismissed it as he knows more about it than I do, as did several others.

I am sure the threads can be located, but many of us commented to the drafturbators that Pioli knew more than they did. I have to own that.

I really don't give a shit what Dorsey's record is this time, if he doesn't take a QB at 1, I am going to be damn pissed.

Stay true to your board. It's true you should, but Geno Smith should also be #1 on our draft board.

Joeckel, Warmak, Werner, Rhodes, Banks, Mingo, Star, Patterson, Moore and Richardson are all better "prospects"...at QB I'd take Nassib, Wilson, Bray, Scott and Dysert I would gladly take over him.
